CANDY HEART PATTERNS {math activity}

Valentine’s Day is almost here!  This means that candy can be found in every store that you go into.  Instead of buying it to eat…buy it to learn with.  With 4 different versions of candy hearts available this year – regular conversation, mini, large, and ABC – there are so many ways to use them in the classroom!   Patterning is just one of the

We have mixed colors with cans of veggies, Christmas tree branches, medicine droppers, and our fingers so far this school year. Hands-down, rolling cans in a huge bin to make orange was my preschoolers favorite color mixing activity! They still talk about it 4 months later.     This month, the colors

Preschool Handwriting Practice {writing with mittens on!}

In my classroom the preschoolers hear, “Pinch your pencil please!” a lot. A fun way to encourage the little ones to hold their pencils correctly while practicing handwriting and the letters in their names, was to add mittens to the activity! My preschoolers
