Hi there and welcome to Modern Preschool!
My name is Nicole. I’m a mom to 3 amazing kiddos (5, 8, 10), and preschool teacher to 24 awesome 3 and 4 year-olds. At times, it feels like I have 27 of my own children, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!
More about me?
I’m a former kindergarten teacher who turned stay at home mom when my kids were born. I’m back in the classroom part time now using my Early Childhood Degree again with my preschoolers. I just love teaching preschool because it allows me to give it my all every morning while still being able to pick my kids up from the bus stop each day.
You’ll always find me wearing black. My coworkers and friends tease me when I’m not sporting a black shirt of some kind – I probably own 10 different black tank tops! I wear my Reef flip flops even in the winter (well the winters we get here in Florida!). My favorite running partner is my 10 year-old and I have a slight addiction to coffee, Kind bars, Coke, and sour patch kids.
More about our family life?
Well…our life revolves around a chaotic schedule sometimes, with as much down time as we can fit in together as a family. Our house isn’t always picked up, our beds are not always made, and it’s almost guaranteed that you could find a basket of clean laundry sitting around waiting for the “laundry fairy” to stop by and fold. But we rock the rest – the important stuff!

I began blogging in 2015 after realizing how much I enjoyed sharing my ideas and activities with others. I’m not one to spend hours prepping for an activity that will only last minutes in my classroom or at home, so I’m all about keeping things super simple!
So I share it all…those fabulous activities with amazing photos that everyone loves over on Pinterest…to the most loved ideas by my preschoolers filled with almost blurry photos taken quickly with my phone. But I’m all about keeping it real.
