13 Printable Winter Break Preschool Boredom Busters

The countdown to Christmas and winter break is on! Our Printable Winter Break Preschool Boredom Busters are our go-to gift for toddlers and preschoolers to keep them busy and learning when school is on break.  Even though everyone seems all happy and cheerful now, 1 to 2 weeks off over winter break inevitably causes boredom and maybe even a little fighting between siblings.

Baby Jesus Ornament Inspired by Silent Night

In my preschool classroom, we have our favorite Christmas books that we have been reading over and over again.  Some are based on the traditional meaning of Christmas and some are just for modern day fun.  All are well loved. And I just love watching my preschoolers read their own versions of the stories to each other! Our plastic egg baby Jesus ornament was inspired

Jingle bell, jingle, jingle bell rock!   Jingle bells swing and jingle bells ring! Jingle bells are one of my preschoolers’ favorite learning material this month!  Actually probably THE favorite.  They are magnetic and they jingle.  We are using them in our math activities, science, and in circle time. “Jingle Bell Rock” Sensory Play I find that it’s easy to overthink things when it comes to

Candy Cane Ornaments

In preschool I like to keep things simple!  This way, my preschoolers can be proud of the creations they make whether in the kinetic sand or creating a project to keep forever, like our Candy Cane Ornaments! Building Kinetic Sand Turkeys

Kinetic sand is a favorite in my classroom.  Actually my kids at home love it too!  There is something  about the feel of the kinetic sand that makes you want to squish it together and then let it fall between your fingers.  It’s a great example of sensory play for toddlers and preschoolers.  The kinetic sand turkeys that my preschoolers created were simple to set

Black Bat Sensory Bin

This week it was time to change up the sensory area of my preschool classroom.  We had moved on from all of our spider fun (check it out here!) and focusing more on Halloween fun!  I put together our simple Black Bat Sensory Bin with just a few supplies.  My preschoolers have been loving making bat soup, counting bats, and of course, running their hands

Color Matching Sticky Spiders

Easy peasy spider activity! A spur of the moment activity turned into a favorite learning center in preschool last week.  I don’t know if it was because the activity was so simple or because it included sticky paper, but my preschoolers continued to go back and play again and again! Practice color matching and strengthen fine motor skills with these fun {and reusable!} sticky spiders!

Dinosaur Letter Tracing for Preschoolers

I am huge fan of learning without worksheets.  There are so many ways that young children, especially preschoolers, can learn essential skills without worksheets and flash cards.  Our Dinosaur Letter Tracing for preschoolers busy bag is a great example of this!  Practice letter formation, letter recognition, and even letter sounds without lifting a pencil. Young children will stay engaged during this playful activity and you may
