Free Alphabet Match Sunglasses Game
Included in this printable activity are 26 pairs of colorful sunglasses. Each pair of sunglasses has an uppercase letter with the corresponding lowercase letter.
Print the sunglasses from the link below on cardstock. Cut out the sunglasses. Cut down the middle of sunglasses to split the pairs apart on the black line.
That’s it! Set-up takes just minutes, and now it’s time to play!
The object of the Alphabet Match Sunglasses game is to put each pair of sunglasses back together correctly. The sunglasses come in 6 different colors to make it less frustrating for preschoolers and kindergarteners who are just beginning to work with uppercase and lowercase letters.
If 26 pairs of sunglasses are too many for your child to work with, introduce just a few sets at a time. Consider starting with just 5 pairs of sunglasses or all of the letters in your child’s name.
To make the game appropriate for even earlier learners who cannot yet recognize all of the letters in the alphabet, print 2 sets of the sunglasses. Cut apart only one set and use the second set to match the cut out pieces to.
Games that can be adapted to fit the needs of different leveled learners are perfect to grow along with your child.
We use activities like the Alphabet Match Sunglasses as independent learning centers in my preschool classroom all the time. I’ve also spent time prepping busy bags for use at home over the years with my own kids.
