Sorting colors is an activity that will easily entertain the toddlers and preschoolers in your life! {without the kiddos even realizing how much learning is going on!}
The Muffin Tin Color Sorting busy bag is one of those activities that takes just a couple of minutes to set up and will be played with over and over again! The supplies cost just a couple of dollars, if you don’t already have them at home. My preschoolers have been playing with this busy bag as an independent center since the beginning of the school year. And after I finally found kid-friendly tweezers (which the kids call “squeezers”) that won’t break, I can open the center more often!
Muffin Tin Color Sorting Supplies:
- muffin tin
- tweezers/tongs for little hands
- colored pom poms
- colored circles printable (pattern also included!)
Download and print the colored circles printable {HERE}, cut the circles out, and attach the colors needed to the bottom of the muffin tin. Have your kiddos use the tweezers, tongs, or even clothespins to move the pom poms into the correct colored muffin tin cup!
Enjoy this activity that strengthens fine motor skills, works on identifying and differentiating between colors, and sorting skills!

You have some awesome ideas! I love these to be used especially when trying to work with kids before they actually start school to get a head start. Thank you for sharing at Motivational Monday Link Party! I would love to have you again Sunday night. Have a great weekend!
