We are loving everything about spring at preschool right now! There are so many stories, finger plays, and songs about caterpillars and butterflies that my preschoolers are having so much fun learning about them! To add to our themed learning centers this month, I created a Colorful Caterpillar Alphabet Sticky Wall for the classroom. It was an instant hit and my preschoolers are doing a fabulous job with their letter matching skills too!

Colorful Caterpillar Alphabet Sticky Wall Supplies:
- sheets of colored foam pieces
- 2.5″ circle tracing pattern
- contact paper
- Sharpie marker
Cut the circles for the caterpillar sticky wall from the foam pieces. We used the letters in the word caterpillar, so 11 circles were needed. If you are working on name recognition, numbers, or are using the sticky wall with toddlers (who will create a caterpillar without additional skill building), cut out the number of circles that will work for you!
Whatever word or letters you are using in your caterpillar, remember to write the letters on the contact paper backwards. They need to show up correctly after you take peel the paper off and tape it to the wall or window!
{HINT} If you make a mistake when writing on contact paper with a Sharpie, use nail polish remover on a cottonball to erase it. Just make sure the area is dry, and write again.

Will you please stop by my Wonderful Wednesday blog hop (starts Tues eve 7pm EDT) to share this? Hope to see you there!
