One of my absolute favorite themes that we focus on during the school year in preschool is the farm! My preschoolers love animals of all kinds, but all the songs, sensory activities, adorable crafts, and fun books make learning about a farm and the animals that live there such an engaging topic. There are lots of farm printable activities out there, but I thought adding in movement to our gross motor farm game was a fun twist on a printable activity!
Gross Motor Farm Game
This gross motor movement game includes 12 different cards with a farm themed image and an activity to get kids moving!
Print the set below on cardstock, cut each card out, and get ready to move and play! Toddlers, preschoolers, and even kindergarteners will love being active while flapping like a chick, galloping like a horse, and more.

In my classroom, I use games like this after circle time, or to transition between activities. Little kids benefit from getting their wiggles out, so that they are able to focus during the times when sitting and listening is important.

The kids I loved using the farm gross motor activity on my foam dice at circle to me. We followed up with the song my little red wagon to pretend to get to the farm and then we sang Old McDonald.
