We don’t see snow where we live, but it’s the time of the year when lots of other colder places are seeing snow! When I was little, playing in the snow was so fun. We lived on a hill that was perfect for sledding across our yard – just like the cute sledding friends on our free printable Snow Day Count & Clip Cards!
Preschoolers and kindergarteners can practice counting, using 1:1 correspondence, and number recognition with this activity. Use it as a busy bag at home or an independent learning center in the classroom.

Printable Snow Day Count & Clip Cards
The math activity includes 10 printable counting cards. Each card has a certain number of cute sledding or skiing friends coming down a snowy hill. Count the number of friends and use a clothespin to clip the correct number!
The supplies are simple for this low prep busy bag:
Print the counting cards on white cardstock. This adds extra durability to the set.
Laminate the counting cards before cutting them apart. I have owned this laminator for 10 years now and still use it all the time at home and for my classroom!
After you cut the super cute snow day cards apart, it’s time to play…and learn!
The best thing about printable busy bags like our Snow Day Count & Clip Cards is how simple they are, but are still jam packed with skills for little learners! My little preschoolers’ favorite set of clip cards is our Smiley Shape Match set because even at 3 years-old they can complete the activity all on their own!

Young kids will strengthen fine motor skills with each squeeze of the clothespin and practice hand-eye coordination with placement. Add in all of those math skills too – number recognition, 1:1 correspondence (point and count), and counting!
Fill your winter with other hands-on learning activities!
Great books to go along with snowy learning!
