Turkeys Gross Motor Games
Don’t Touch the Feather – Roll the cubes to identify which color feather to avoid while moving to the next feather around the room.
Turkey Trot – Pick a card and turkey trot around the room according the movement directions on the card using your best turkey gobble and wobble!
Shake Your Turkey Feather – Using a pretend or paper feather, shake your turkey feather with the body part shown on the movement card.
Find the Feather – Use the spinner to find which animal to move like all the way to a feather. Name the letter on the feather and spin again!
Move Like a Turkey – Pick a card and move like the turkey themed picture and direction on it!
Suggested Supplies:
The printable pieces of each gross motor game are included in the file. Laminating the pieces is recommended. Other supplies that could be used to set up the activities include:
- cube dice with pockets
- suction spinner or paper clip and pencil
- pretend feathers (store bought or paper)
- painter’s tape – to get pieces to stick to the wall or floor
