LITERACY CENTERS:
Write the Classroom & Word Cards – Both uppercase and lowercase picture word cards as well as 4 different leveled recording sheets are included. Find a picture card and write/color the word you found!
Uppercase School Bus Match – Cut apart the uppercase school bus cards. Match the school buses back together like a puzzle.
Crayon Themed Emergent Readers – 2 versions
—-> “The Crayon Box” – uses beginning sight words and color words. Includes 2 pages per piece of paper to make copying and assembling books easy peasy!
—-> “The Crayon” – 2 words per mini page. The entire reader is on one page. Practice color words and repetition.
School & Bus Alphabet Match – Cut the school houses and school buses apart. Match the lowercase school bus to the uppercase school house. **Print 2 copies of the school buses and make a memory game with lowercase letters!
Initial Sound Pencil Clip Cards – Print the colorful pencils and cut them out. Each pencil includes 2 pictures that begin with that letter’s sound and 2 pictures that do not. Use clothespins to clip the correct matches.
Pencil Letter Hunt & Write – Great literacy sensory bin idea with multi-leveled recording sheet options! Cut the letter pencils apart and hide them in a bin of rice. Find a pencil and color/trace the matching letter until all letters are found.
Connect-A-Cube Pre-Writing Mats – 3 levels of left to right progression and writing skills included. Laminate the mats or stick them in a plastic page protector to use with dry erase markers. Connect the same colored cubes with your own lines, pre-writing tracing lines, and upper/lowercase letters.
MATH CENTERS:
Shape Play Dough Mats – Pick a “glue dot” shape card and build that shape on the glue bottle play dough mat. Laminate or use a plastic page protector for the play dough mat.
Crayon Box 10 Frames – Use the 10 frame math cards (1-10) to practice number recognition, one-to-one correspondence, number words, and 10 frame introduction. Add the correct number of manipulatives (buttons, erasers, counters, etc) for each card.
Making New Shape Friends & Puzzles – Cut the shape puzzles apart and then down the dotted line. Each puzzle has 2 pieces. As each shape puzzle is put back together, color in the shape friend on the recording sheet until all shapes are colored in.
Counting Bears Pattern Cards – Use the counting bear pattern cards to finish AB and ABC patterns. Practice colors and patterning with the printable counting bears OR use real counting bears!
Bus Stop Spin & Spinners – 2 play mats (1-5 and 6-10) and 4 spinners (2 with 1-5 and 2 with 6-10) are included. Cut them apart and create a math center by just adding a paperclip and a pencil to spin a number. Spin a number and cover the matching school bus. Use the individual black and white copies to play independently or to follow up center time.
Count, Show, Write Counting Bear Cards – Laminate or use page protectors with the number cards. Count the bears, show the number with manipulatives (beads, buttons, counting bears) in the box, and then practice writing the number with dry eraser markers.
