Pumpkins Gross Motor Games
Pumpkin Shape Hunt – Roll the cube and move to a pumpkin shape doing the action movement rolled. Say the chant and name the shape. Roll again and move to the next pumpkin!
Push the Pumpkins – Pick a card and identify the body part. Use the printable pumpkins (or real mini pumpkins!) and move them across the floor only using that body part.
Pumpkin Seed Says – (similar to Simon Says!) Pick a pumpkin seed card. Use the phrase, “Pumpkin Seed says” before telling the students the action on the card.
Pumpkin Toss – Use a small, soft ball as a pumpkin. Roll the cube and pass the pumpkin to the next student using the movement shown on the cube. Toss the pumpkin back and forth until between all students.
Move Like Pumpkins – Pick a card and move in a fun way like the pumpkin themed words and actions around the room!

The printable pieces of each gross motor game are included in the file. Laminating the pieces is recommended. Other supplies that could be used to set up the activities include:
- cube dice with pockets
- small, soft ball
- painter’s tape – to get pieces to stick to the wall or floor
