Gingerbread Gross Motor Games
Gingerbread Jump – Roll a number and jump that many times on or over the gingerbread man and then roll again!
Gumdrop Dance – Using beanbags as gumdrops (or provided printable gumdrops), dance with your gumdrop according to the movement rolled on the pocket cube.
House Decorating – Pick up a candy cane and hold it in the body part that was rolled while carrying it to the matching gingerbread house!
Gingerbread Ninja– Pick a card and move like a gingerbread ninja according to the action on the card.
Move Like Gingerbread – Pick a card and move in a fun way like the gingerbread themed words and movements around the room!
The printable pieces of each gross motor game are included in the file. Laminating the pieces is recommended. Other supplies that could be used to set up the activities include:
- bean bags
- pocket cube
- painter’s tape – to get pieces to stick to the wall or floor
- velcro – to attach pieces to the carpet
