LITERACY CENTERS
Bugs Vocab & Write the Room – 10 bug and insect themed vocabulary word cards are included in both uppercase and lowercase versions. Use the cards in your writing area, during science, or along with circle time. There are 3 Write the Room recording papers (trace uppercase words, trace lowercase words, write the words on your own) and Color the Room recording sheets included to differentiate instruction.
Bee Emergent Readers – 2 levels of readers included
“The Bee” – includes repetition, sight words, predictable words, and themed words. Includes 2 pages per piece of paper to make copying and assembling books super simple!
“Bee” (mini) – 3 words per mini page with use of the sight word “and” in the reader. In this mini book, the entire reader is printed on one page. Practice the predictable words with clues from the pictures.
Buggy Color By Code (3 versions) – Identify color words and practice coloring skills while coloring in the cute bug themed picture. Color by uppercase letters, color by lowercase letters, and color by sight word options are included.
Bug Catcher Letter & Sight Word Trace – Practice correct letter formation while tracing uppercase and lowercase letters. Trace the sight words (Fry’s first 50) included to reinforce sight word skills and writing words from left to right.
Catching Alphabet & Initial Sound Fireflies (3 sets) – Pick a firefly card (uppercase, lowercase, or initial sound) and identify the letter or picture on the card. Find the matching jar on the uppercase or lowercase letter recording sheet and color it in. Pick another card and play again!
Buggy Rhyme Time Clip Cards – Match the picture on the bug’s belly with the correct rhyming picture on the right side of the card. Clip a clothespin on the rhyming picture. Color in one rhyming picture on the recording sheet each time a correct match is made.
MATH CENTERS
Count, Show, Write Number Bees (1-20) – Count the number of bees on the hive, show the number with yellow pom poms, and then write the numeral on the card to practice number skills. Add in kid-friendly squeezers for added fine motor practice.
Snail Rulers Non-Standard Measurement – Use the snail ruler to measure each of the pictures on each of the 8 measuring cards. Count the number of snails tall each picture is. Write the number of snails tall each picture is on the recording sheet.
Buggy Roll & Graph OR Color – Put together the printable bug color dice. Roll a die, identify the bug color, and color in the graph correctly. Roll again and graph the color. To use the roll & color recording sheet, roll the die, identify the color, and color in one of the bugs that same color.
Shape Bugs Play Dough Mats – Choose a bug shape card and identify the shape. Roll out play dough and build the shape on the jar play dough mat. Twelve bug shape cards are included.
Missing Cater-Number Clip Cards – Find the missing number on the card by counting past the first number to find the one that comes next. Use a clothespin to clip the missing number by choosing the correct one from the 3 choices. Includes numbers 1-20.
Make 10 Spots Math Cards – Each bug needs 10 spots. Count the spots on the bug and then count on from that number all the way to 10 each time another spot is added with a dry erase marker. Use buttons or pom poms to create the spots needed too!
Buggy Number Trace (3 versions) – Practice numbers and number formation with the 3 versions of the number trace sheets. Trace numbers 1-10, 11-20, or 1-20 with bright colored markers, crayons, or pencils.
